About Us

Family Restaurant on North Dirksen Parkway

Parkway Café is a dedicated family restaurant that was established in 1993. It was the first restaurant on North Dirksen Parkway in an industrial area, surrounded by cornfields.

Since then, the area has grown to include a Super Walmart, Lowes, Menards, Big R, and 18 other restaurants.

We take pride in the fact that we have been able to create a real family atmosphere to serve delicious food.

Local Favorite

Parkway Cafe has become a local favorite and a favorite for travelers up and down I-55 between Chicago, IL and St. Louis, MO.

This also applies to the travelers who are stopping by to see the newest addition to the city, The Abraham Presidential Library & Museum.

Our Owner & Her Vision

Leann, the owner of Parkway Cafe, had devoted years as a waitress at Tops Big Boy when she saw an opportunity to open her own restaurant.

Her goal was, and still is, to create a family-friendly environment where customers receive the excellent service they deserve.

Parkway Cafe strives to bring great food at a reasonable price. At Parkway, we make the customers feel like regulars the first time they walk through the door.
